Roy Fisher, Jr.

Roy Fisher, Jr. was born in Eagle Grove, IA, August 17, 1934. He grew up in that community and following graduation from Eagle Grove High School attended Junior College and joined the U.S. Navy. He married the former Delores Ransford of Spirit Lake, IA in 1953 while stationed in Bremerton, WA. While in the Navy he served as a Hospital Corpsman at Naval Hospital, Yokosuka, Japan. Following his enlistment, he returned home in 1957, only to go back to active duty in the U.S. Air Force where he served for another 16 years in various positions related to aircraft maintenance. After retiring from military service, he returned to Eagle Grove for several years before once again succumbing to wanderlust and traveling the United States in an RV with his wife. They settled for the last time in Aransas Pass, TX where he lived for the past 11 years. Roy passed quietly into eternity, April 27, 2021 while in the hospital. He is preceded in death by his ....
