Investors redeveloping a rustic resort complex at Lac Le Jeune expressed confidence Thursday they will prosper where other recreational projects have failed. Directors on the Thompson-Nicola Regional District approved zoning changes to Woody Life Resort, developed in the late 1980s. The 30-unit resort fell into dormancy in the last decade and was sold several times. The changes approved by the TNRD will allow stratification so developers can sell individual units to investors. Purchasers will be able to use the duplex-style units themselves and also place them in a rental pool. Angelo Guemos, from DAG Investments, said partners have spent several million dollars upgrading units to bring them up to building code standard and improving infrastructure. ....
