will waste an extra hour on the road. road crews are replacing an entire bridge in one weekend. drew smith is live. where the road closure begins. a main area is just cut off now. this is a lot of interstate to close. you can see the roadblocks up right now. nobody getting north unless they had pretty far to the east. and then up and around. the only people allowed opt ramp are construction workers. they have to replace a bridge and build it back up again. before the road opens up again on monday morning. reporter: 9:00 on the dot. turnpike workers move the barricades into place. we watch the lucky last minute drivers squeeze in right before the deadline. you cut it close. we are. reporter: we found others much more prepared. we planned our trip accordingly. reporter: it will last until monday morning at 4. people heading to festivals and other weekend fun. realize it will be quieter this weekend. reporter: that s the detour you see on the map. and it will add

tracking wet weather to begin our day. hi, krystal. hi, rosemary. yet again like yesterday morning a few sprinkles rolling across our area. the rotation of this moisture is from south to north and then it s going to start to pull off to the east as we progress through the day. i think chances of rain are very limited and the best chances are going to kind of be against the jersey shore, some of the delaware beaches here, a lesser chance once we get to philadelphia and areas north and west. still today kind of a dreary day yet again. we re talking cloudy with some fog this morning and those sprinkles in the forecast. temperatures though markedly different than yesterday morning. instead of 40s and 50z, most of us are starting in the 60s here. 60 in reading and allentown. philadelphia at 60 and 65 atlantic city. so these temperatures starting in the 60s today are going to rise into the 70s because we re starting that warming trend today. it will take us to the 80s for some by
first alert neighborhood forecast. that wet weather slowly pushing on out of here. good morning. this is nbc10 news today, thanks for being with us. i m rosemary connors. it s 5:30 on this saturday. a damp morning across the region. meteorologist krystal klei is tracking it all in the most accurate forecast. krystal. yeah, rosemary, many of us are cloudy, many of us have patchy fog around the region and for a few of us there s seven sprinkles falling out there. very light rainmaking to the groupd in parts of cumberland and cape may county. see a little rain brushing up against lbi. so this is mostly on its way out, meaning that just a spot shower s possible around here throughout the day. the rest of us we re going to stay cloudy, a gray, a little dreary, but the difference will be by the afternoon some breaks of sun might allow temperatures to make their way into the 70s which i think is a welcome change for those loving the 60s the last couple days. we re in 60s right
