After more than 25 years in the business, Karen Smith has finally branched out on her own to open Salon on Savannah in Lewes.
The Sam Villa-trained stylist has put together a talented team, offering a variety of services in a newly renovated space off Savannah Road just east of Wescoats Corner.
“I started in Wilmington when I was 17 years old, so I’ve been in this business my entire life,” she said. “This is my love. This is what I was meant to do.”
Smith, who’s originally from the New Jersey/New York area, has worked at Bad Hair Day in Rehoboth Beach and, more recently, at Village Salon and Spa in the Villages of Five Points. She’s a master barber and master colorist, specializing in blondes, balayaging and fantasy shades.
