Harrell went undrafted in 2020, but then signed a contract with the Buffalo Bills. He didn’t crack the roster, but he spent the virtual offseason with the team and was later signed to the practice squad in December for the final five games of the season.
He spent his collegiate career at Auburn where he appeared in 43 games and had 31 starts for the Tigers. Harrell was named third-team All-SEC by Phil Steele in 2018.

Friday s NFL injury and roster news for Week 17 Published: Jan 01, 2021 at 10:49 AM Copied!
Buffalo wide receiver John Brown s 2020 season has been interrupted a few times. He s starting 2021 off right where he wants to be: back on the field.
The Bills activated Brown from the reserve/COVID-19 list Friday. Adding their leading receiver from a year ago could be a boon as they set out for a deep playoff run. Brown has played just eight games this season, missing multiple weeks with an ankle injury. His last appearance was on Nov. 15. He was placed on the COVID list at the beginning of this week but comes off in time to perhaps work out some rust in a Week 17 game in which Buffalo could scale back its starters.

Orchard Park, N.Y. The Buffalo Bills activated wide receiver John Brown off the Reserve/Covid list on Friday, clearing the way for him to return if Sean McDermott chooses to play him on Sunday in season finale.
Brown, 30, hasn’t played since Week 10 after going on injured reserve with an ankle injury. His availability is a nice development for the Bills because slot receiver Cole Beasley is currently dealing with a knee injury. McDermott listed him as week-to-week and he hasn’t practiced this week.
