The University of Alabama at Birmingham's School of Dentistry has announced that it has officially opened a new Dothan based satellite dental clinic to recruit, educate, train, and retain dentists to help improve overall dental health within the state's Wiregrass region.
The University of Alabama at Birmingham has announced that one of its most generous donors has once again made a multi million dollar contribution to the school. Dr. Marnix E. Heersink of Dothan has reportedly already given $95 million to the university that named UAB's Marnix E. Heersink School of Medicine, Marnix E. Heersink Institute of Biomedical Innovation, and the Mary Heersink Institute for Global Health.
