Millbrook’s girls basketball team moved into the No. 1 spot in the HighSchoolOT Top 25 rankings this week, but the Wildcats’ stay atop the east likely won’t last much longer. Despite a fierce comeback in the second half, No. 1 Millbrook suffered its first loss of the season with a 64-62 defeat at the hands of No. 5 Apex Friendship and junior Indya Nivar. After struggling to score in the first half, Millbrook found itself down 29-20 at halftime. That deficit grew to as many as 13 points in the third quarter, but that’s when the Wildcats began making a comeback. ....
