s&p 500. neil: so that s representative of the 500 best companies in the united states, so you had the reflection of that you want to buy that, that entire average. yeah, and so i didn t make a big position, but it s there. look, you know the market could go down a lot more. i don t know, but over the long-haul, i think we ll be okay neil: the white house of course has attached much of its success to the markets can t blame them they ve argued i know you might slightly disagree that the media doesn t give them a fair shake when it comes to the market run up. now the argument is if you talk about on the way up you owned it on the way down do you agree with that? no because they should have owned it on the way up and they don t own it on the way down. neil: all right so mark cuban a couple of things not a fan of the president talking up the markets when he had nothing to do with it he says nor when they re going down because he has nothing to do with that again he says and investin ....
neil: you know, the white house has attached much of its success to the markets. you can t blame them. you might slightly disagree. the media doesn t give them a fair shake when it comes to this market run-up. now the argument is if you talk on the way up, you own it on the way down. do you agree with that? no. they shouldn t have owned it on the way up and they don t own it on the way down. when people are excited about their situation or about their companies, the tax benefits certainly accelerated things and got companies excited. that s all good. markets look into the future. the thing i remind everybody is, when you re buying something, the person that is telling or the person selling it to you, they re not selling it to you thinking that they re going to lose money. they re selling because they think they have a good reason. if you re going to the market, do your homework, understand ....
This about the middle class. they can still get it done. i believe they re committed to getting it done. a lot of concern that mccain is in the hospital. another in the hospital. so people are worried this won t get done for a number of difference. i think the end of the day, these guys are committed to getting it done. rubio is putting it out there because he s not going to miss around with the tax credit. i think they can get it done tonight. neil: the president is confident saying this will happen. he had a fascinating sort of visual today at the white house. the push to dramatically cut red tape and regulation. it would take up to a couple decades to get a highway or bridge down. the did illustrate the documents and counter documents of how ridiculous this process has become. tax cuts haven t happened yet. the regulations, executive orders, they have happened. how long that lasts that we don t get the tax cuts, the market run-up is anyone s guess. ....
