IIHF announces no new positive COVID-19 tests at world juniors

Through the first two days of preliminary rounds, there have been no new positive COVID-19 test results at the World Junior Hockey Championship, the IIHF announced Sunday.
There have been a total of 1,554 COVID-19 tests since the tournament opened on Christmas Day, with 7,104 tests overall since the 10 teams entered the competition bubble in Edmonton, Alta.
IIHF COVID news:
• Germany gets 3 players back from quarantine.
• All quarantined Swedish staff may rejoin their team.
As well, the IIHF announced that three players from Germany have been released from quarantine and can re-join their team. Germany was limited to dressing 14 players against Canada on Saturday due to quarantine protocols from their outbreak.
