Plymouth Roc fights to keep its liquor license after state suspends it
Plymouth Roc fans should be able to order drinks from the restaurant’s cozy patio once it complies with Michigan’s outdoor dining standards.
For now, state and local authorities agree the restaurant s fully-enclosed patio is an indoor venue and the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services would not approve of such dining there now.
An hours-long Wednesday hearing resulted in Administrative Law Judge Michael St. John saying the restaurant s recently-suspended liquor license could return . if the 1020 Ann Arbor Road venue follows the state s indoor-outdoor orders.
“My order is going to say you can’t reopen to outdoor service with your liquor license until you get that section fully in compliance,” the judge said. “Just notify the commission that you’re in compliance.
