Special Operations Women Have Lost Their Mind, Again

Once again, women have proven themselves to be a joking matter in the military, and their male peers are laughing all the way home.
Recently, Major Nicole (last name withheld for security) of 3rd Battalion, 1st Special Warfare Training Group, hosted the first Army Special Operations (ARSOF) Women’s Mentorship Working Group. The group included women who were commanders at every level of command from all across ARSOF.
The groups aim to provide a “safe, non-attributional venue for women in ARSOF to ask questions that address issues unique to being a woman, plan leadership development, identify potential mentors and mentees, and educate men who are wanting to improve their organizational culture by increasing inclusivity for women.” ....

Homelessness is on the rise in many of America s biggest cities as wealth concentrates in urban centers, elevating rents and squeezing supplies of affordable housing in places like Los Angeles and New York, new federal data show.
Homelessness in and around big U.S. cities increased 3 percent this year, even as the nation s overall rate declined 2 percent, according to a report from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development released Thursday. The ice storm last week affected school districts across the Houston area, some more than others as Spring ISD deals with damage caused to some of their campuses.
Overall, despite some damage to campuses, Spring ISD Chief Operating Officer Mark Miranda said he thought the district handled the storm well.
“In terms of our facilities, remarkably well,” Miranda said. “We prepared as best we could just like most people wrapping our pipes, draining things, and we have generators at all of our campuses. Some had some issues because they’re not used to operating in cold weather.” ....
