He bought the three-story, Italianate house at the corner of S. 3rd St. and W. National Ave. for $150,000 in August.
The two-story, 4,532-square-foot building didn’t come with any tenants, nor did the second floor come with any finished walls.
That was okay with Lathers, a superintendent at Kelly Construction & Design. ....

Real estate investor and construction executive
Mark Lathers purchased a three-story warehouse in Milwaukee’s Harbor District last week with plans to redevelop the property.
Lathers originally put the 21,000-square-foot building under contract for purchase in March 2019, but issues with the prior owner,
Austin Mansur of Chicago-based AM Finance (see below), and the pandemic delayed the sale.
“What we thought we were going to do two years ago is different now, but we believe in the building and we believe in that Harbor District,” said Lathers in an interview with ....

Older Walker's Point/Harbor District building to be redeveloped


An older industrial building in Milwaukee s Harbor District and Walker s Point areas has been sold to a developer who s considering its conversion to office space and other new uses.
The three-story, 21,000-square-foot building, at 212 E. Mineral St., was sold for $660,000 to Denmark HD LLC, led by Mark Lathers, according to a new deed filing. It was sold by Chicago-based AM Finance LLC.
Lathers said Wednesday that he initially agreed to buy the empty building in May 2019.
Some legal complications, and then the COVID-19 pandemic, delayed the closing until this week.
The initial plans called for offices, along with a local microbrewery, Lathers told the Journal Sentinel. ....
