After more than a decade in the making, Mark DiPetrillo is putting the finishing touches on his 2,700-square-foot log cabin in the woods of Foster and just in time to sell it.
The project began in 2007, when DiPetrillo a plumbing and heating contractor of four decades purchased a pre-cut chalet-style cabin kit with two ranch extensions from Real Log Homes out of Vermont. DiPetrillo dug the envelope, poured the foundation and, atop it, built a box where CM Allaire and Sons, out of Uxbridge, Mass., would construct the kit for him.
