Motorcyclist taken to hospital after crash involving car near Kirkby-in-Ashfield The road was closed for around two hours Updated A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital following a crash in Nottinghamshire. A section of Derby Road A611 was closed near Kirkby-in-Ashfield after the incident involving a car and a motorbike at around 7.30am on Tuesday morning (June 1). The motorcyclist was taken to Queen s Medical Centre with injuries not thought to be life threatening. The main road had to be closed in both directions between Diamond Avenue (B6020) and Balls Lane for roughly two hours.
