Nothing could be further from the truth. Their mission is to identify and serve the social, health and educational needs of all residents regardless of age, income, or circumstances.
As a town committed to the concept of an Age-Friendly Community, the department exists to encourage and promote optimizing opportunities for health, participation and security to all ages.
The department is staffed presently by the director, assistant director, outreach coordinator, part-time administrative assistant, four van drivers, and more than 100 volunteers. ....
