Four years ago. okay. because something happened to me and it was later described to me as implicit bias. i was just calling it racism. right. can you talk about what that means and even where that comes from? yeah. so marjorie benaji and tony greenwald established project implicit about 20 years ago. so what they were trying to figure out is what s going on in people s minds before they re able to think about what s the socially responsible answer. right. and so the way to think about implicit bias is you don t have to necessarily dislike people of other races to be affected by it. right. it s in everything that you do. somebody walks through a door and it s a man, you have some assumptions about what that means. and we ve also been conditioned to not talk about it. right. researchers from harvard and the university of virginia have created a test that can measure a person s implicit bias. the idea being that if we can measure it, maybe we can dismantle it. and what they ....
