Driver who struck and killed the 35yearold woman is an employee of the San Francisco parks and c department. It was a chaotic scene. Police taped off the area. The woman was in the park with her young daughter and her dog. Police say that the driver left the scene after the accident and was found with the city vehicle in a different location some time after the accident. The womans daughter saw the whole thing happen. I believe the child was in the grass at the time, but uninjured. Reporter police say the driver of the city owned truck was traveling down a grassy embankment and likely didnt see the woman and her child. Neighbors have complained about city parks vehicles driving too quickly in the park. A small memorial of flowers was placed in the location of her death by neighbors. The driver will be charged with felony hit and run. We are learning that employee has worked for the city since 2006. His name has not been released ye ....
