The impasse between Liberal leader Dominique Anglade and Vaudreuil MNA Marie-Claude Nichols came to a head last week after Nichols declined the Official Opposition leader’s offer to return to caucus.
Dominique Anglade will step down after a tumultuous few years as leader of the Quebec Liberal Party (QLP). As of Dec. 1, she will resign as both party leader and as MNA the Saint-Henri-Sainte-Anne riding.
The next leader of the Quebec Liberal Party (QLP) could be elected next year, in the fall of 2023, at best. Dominique Anglade s interim successor should be known on Thursday.
