Teacher killed in motorcycle crash in Toft may have misjudged bend in road, inquest hears

A motorcyclist who was killed in a collision between Bourne and Toft might have misjudged the angle of a bend in the road.
An inquest into the death of Michael Machin could not pinpoint why he lost control of his Honda VFR750 on the A6121 last summer.
The bike and Mr Machin, 59, slid into the opposite carriageway and collided with the front of a Ford Transit van being driven by Darren Lawson, from Bourne.

The hearing, held today (Tuesday, March 16) in Lincoln, heard written evidence from Mr Lawson in which he described driving through Toft towards Bourne just before lunchtime on July 16, 2020. ....

Apprentice bricklayer William Foxon, 19, from Scartho, died at a friend s house in Tetney after taking cocaine and morphine and drinking alcohol.
An inquest heard he and friends, aged 19 - 21, gathered at Lou Thain Trigg s house on Friday October 23 last year and drank beer, wine and vodka and took cocaine before William decided to stay the night after others left. ....
