Senate shouldnt confirm her. I think she will continue on to the Supreme Court. Brennan but what gave pause last time . Sometimes it is hard to predict how judges are going to actually rule on individual cases. But is there something we should be scrutinizing here in terms of her stance . Democrats are assuming she is against Affordable Care act and against roe vs. Wade. Are those fair as assumptions . I dont think those are fair at assumptions. I remember being a very young law student hearing this about robert gore and clarence thomas, and almost every justice nominated by a republican. What you can guarantee is theyre going to approach the task of judging as a judgment theyre not going to substitute their own policy views for the will of the people. Theyre going to read the law as passed by congress and is found in the constitution, not based upon what they think it ought to be, but what it is.
