LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - Lake Charles police are reminding homeowners about a program they have in place to protect residents and their property. Some Lake Area residents have already taken advantage of the Neighborhood Watch program offered by the department.
âI just feel safe. Because thereâs so much going on, I recommend anyone get alarms and cameras,â says resident Emily Collins.
Some victims are considering taking part.
âThe car and my house [have been broken into,]â resident Kandace Guillory said. âIt was a TV, a phone, like they just went through my whole house and took some valuable things. It was hard. Me and my daughter were in the house. I was just worried about us. I wasnât worried about nothing else.â
