Kerry Clark doesn’t normally pick up hitchhikers. On Monday he did. A chance stop at the Prince George tourist centre while listening to radio reports about the disappearance of Nicole Hoar convinced the Dawson Creek resident to ignore his usual sense of caution and pick up two young woman sitting with thumbs out on Highway 97 just south of Highway 16. “I was going to ask them if they knew about it (the disappearance of Hoar),” said the soft spoken Clark, who was on his way to Vancouver on business. Hoar, a tree planter from Red Deer, Alberta, disappeared while hitchhiking on Highway 16 to Smithers. She was dropped off by friends on June 21 and has not been seen since, despite a massive ground search and province-wide media attention. ....
