Deputies arrest NW Florida man accused of shooting at bulldozer

Despite alleged threats that he would “sic his boys” on him if he continued working, the victim returned to work and saw Allen walk into the woods. About five minutes later, Allen returned with a shotgun, OCSO reported.
Allen reportedly aimed the shotgun at the bulldozer operator and opened fire, shooting three rounds at the victim and the bulldozer. The victim took cover and reported hearing the buckshot hitting the metal of the bulldozer.
Allen ran off, according to the release. Investigators found shell casings and at least 15 impact locations on the bulldozer consistent with being struck by buckshot-style projectiles. The estimated damage to the bulldozer was $10,000 to $15,000. ....

OKALOOSA COUNTY, Fla. – A Florida man sent his own truck up in flames because he wanted to give deputies “something to do,” according to the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies said they received reports of a loud explosion on Mare Creek Road in Crestview on Dec. 18 and found a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado fully engulfed in flames.

Multiple reports were received regarding a loud explosion on Mare Creek Road in the Dorcas area Friday night.
Responding deputies located a fully engulfed vehicle at 5343 Mare Creek Drive, according to Okaloosa County Sheriff s Office.
While speaking with a suspect, Kevin Robert Murphy, he told deputies he had poured gasoline onto and into the vehicle, then set it on fire.
He went on to say he had set the fire “to give us something to do,” OCSO said.
Murphy was arrested and deputies found methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia in his pocket. ....
