The Waterloo Police Department is asking central Iowans for help locating two people of interest in connection to an ongoing homicide investigation.
Waterloo investigators are attempting to locate Marcus Robert Sykes, a 25-year-old who police say is a person of interest in a shooting last month, according to a Monday evening news release from the Des Moines Police Department. The shooting happened in the early hours of May 15 and resulted in the death of 23-year-old Dayton Lee Matlock, as well as the non-fatal injury of two women.
