The Gauchos added a sixth run in the eighth, capitalizing on a USF error.

Conner Dand picked his first win in relief of starter Zach Torra, who pitched four innings and allowed four runs on six hits, including two homers. He hit two batters, walked one and struck out three. Dand allowed no runs, gave up two hits, walked three and struck out three in two innings.
UCSB improved to 3-1 and Pepperdine fell to 1-3.
Willow’s solo shot gave UCSB a 1-0 lead in the second inning. Pepperdine answered in the third on a double by John Peck, a Quintt Landis groundout and a sac fly from Billy Cook.
