Rajkot: A senior citizen from Kalawad in Jamnagar was killed by his son-in-law as the elderly man insisted that his daughter come for a family function to Ahmedabad. The victim Vijay Bhatt (65) had gone to meet his daughter Falguni in Jamnagar on Tuesday to invite her to the housewarming ceremony of Bhatt’s son Sachin at Ahmedabad. Since Falguni’s husband Manish Jani and her family have not had a healthy relationship for the last eight years, Jani refused his wife to go to the ceremony. Bhatt kept insisting that she come to the ceremony which led to a heated argument. Even while he was leaving, the argument between the father-in-law and the son-in-law continued in the parking and escalated into a scuffle.
