KUALA TERENGGANU: The public is advised not to panic over rumours circulating on social media that there was a case of a positive Covid-19 visitor at Tasik Kenyir, Hulu Terengganu on March 12.
Central Terengganu Development Authority (Ketengah) chairman Datuk Razali Idris said that the man was in fact only a close contact of a Covid-19 patient and had no symptoms that could be linked to the infection.
“I was informed by Tasik Kenyir Tourism Association chairman, Zalani Endut, that the man was required to undergo a health screening at the Hulu Terengganu Hospital after his wife, who was at home, tested positive for Covid-19, yesterday. ....

PETALING JAYA: The health ministry has detected 13 new Covid-19 clusters in the past 24 hours, health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said today.
In a statement, he said 10 were workplace clusters, two community clusters and one high-risk cluster,
FMT reported.
The clusters were detected in Johor, Selangor, Sabah, Sarawak, Kuala Lumpur and Terengganu.
Five clusters were detected in Johor, and two each in Sarawak, Terengganu and Selangor. Kuala Lumpur and Sabah reported one cluster each.
The 13 new clusters are:

- Kompleks Perabut – a workplace cluster in Kuala Langat. The first few cases tested positive today after a targeted screening of factory workers in BantingSome 287 people were screened, 21 of whom tested positive. ....

Covid-19: 10 more primary schools in Kuala Terengganu ordered closed

KUALA TERENGGANU (Jan 24): Ten more primary schools in the district have been ordered to close for seven days from today until Jan 30, following findings that individuals who were Covid-19 positive had been to all them.
State Health Department director Dr Nor Azimi Yunus said this was to enable disinfection work to be carried out to curb the spread of the virus.
The 10 schools are Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Kesom, SK Bukit Petiti, SK Pulau Manis, SK Manir, SK Tengku Ampuan Mariam, SK Kedai Buloh, SK Tok Dir, SK Pusat Kuala Ibai, SK Seri Budiman and SK Gong Tok Nasek.
Recently, SK Sultan Sulaiman 1 and SK Paloh here were also ordered closed by the department for the same reason. ....
