A home department order, issued by Chief Secretary Vineet Joshi, said, "The state government after reviewing the prevailing law and order situation in Churachandpur district decided to continue suspension of internet services and services through VPN throughout the whole revenue jurisdiction of Churachandpur district."
Churachandpur/ Imphal, Feb 19 (PTI) Offices of the Manipur government in Churachandpur and neighbouring Pherzawl districts recorded thin attendance on Monday, despite the state home department’s warning that “no work, no pay” rule would be applied if employees go on unauthorised leaves.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Manipur University of Culture (MUC), located in Imphal, and Phranakhon Rajabhat University (PRU) in Thailand, with the primary aim of enhancing relations between the two institutions. The agreement was formalized at the Samantanet Conference Hall of PRU in Bangkok, according to sources.
"The incident took place on Tuesday night when a large number of local youths, mostly village volunteers, gathered at the MPTC gates and tried to barge into the premises, with some even succeeding in their endeavour," PTI reported quoting an official.
