Supplementary examinations of all subjects of class 10 board exams of the Board of Secondary Education, Manipur, which had been scheduled on Tuesday and Wednesday, were cancelled in view of the bandh.
Told about blockades preventing supplies from reaching the affected populations, a bench presided by Chief Justice of India D Y Chandrachud asked agencies to consider all options, including airdropping essential supplies if necessary, keeping in mind the humanitarian situation.
“Manipur is a State, not a piece of real estate. The central government is acting as if the state does not exist… This is constitutionally wrong, politically immoral and, from the people's point of view, a complete disaster,” the post said.
