Muslim Fulani Raiders Attack Christian Church in Nigeria, Killing One

Armed gunmen raided a Sunday morning service last week at Haske Baptist Church in Nigeria’s Middle Belt, killing one and kidnapping at least four others, the Barnabas Fund reported Tuesday.
The April 25 attack took place in Manini Tasha village, in Kaduna State, where Fulani raiders have carried out ongoing targeted attacks on the Christian population.
A man named Zechariah Dogonyaro was killed during the armed assault and two others were wounded by gunfire.
“The Fulani herdsmen came to our village as the church service was going on,” Yakubu Bala of Haske Baptist Church told ....

No fewer than 200 deaths have been recorded in Nigeria in the past one week from unpleasant situations such as insecurity, road crashes, accidental situations, among others.
From investigations, SaharaReporters gathered that the majority of those who were killed in the past week were security operatives such as soldiers, police officers and local vigilantes.

Bandits Kidnap Two Women In Kaduna

Bandits have abducted two housewives during an attack in Zaria, Kaduna State.
The bandits were said to have invaded Kofar Kuyambana low-cost Housing Estate in Zaria on Sunday night in large numbers on motorcycles and started shooting sporadically, before taking the victims away.
However, Kaduna state police command through its Spokesman, Mohammed Jalige said that two of the four kidnapped women were rescued by its personnel.
He explained that the police, in collaboration with members of the community, were able to repel the attackers from taking more people, adding that two of the bandits were arrested. ....
