It is important for the country to see republicans and democrats unite on the issue of protecting our democracy, even as senate republicans do not. bring in kinzinger, cheney, bring them all into the fold to find out why and how this attack happened. jeff, what do you think is the most realistic option moving forward for this type of investigation? democrats do have some choices to maybe. reporter: they do have choices to make. the reality here is that the die has been cast. this is likely to be viewed as a partisan sxie. it would not be quite as much so if those republicans, who amanda mentioned, were engaged in this. it is also you know, it s tempting for democrats to, you know, really spend time on this. they certainly want to get to the bottom of this. they are also trying to look ahead. this is not going to be an issue in which they win or lose the election on. ....
