Jan A.G.M. VAN DIJK is professor of communication science at the University of Twente, the Netherlands, Department of Communication. His chair is called The Sociology of the Information Society. Holger HESTERMEYER is a Professor of Law at King s College London and a Senior Research Affiliate of the Max-Planck-Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law at Heidelberg. He has served as Specialist Adviser to the EU Select Committee and the EU External Affairs Sub-Committee of the House of Lords, as co-Vice-President of the Society of International Economic Law and co-director of the Red Latinoamericana de Derecho Económico Internacional.
