Amelia Wood, 11 sadly died after she was struck by a car wheel.
An 11-year-old girl has died after she was hit by the wheel of a car in Manby Middlegate on Tuesday.
Amelia Wood had been walking to school on the pavement next to the B1200 when she was hit by a wheel that was reported to have flown from a white Land Rover Discovery at around 8am on Tuesday, March 6.
She sadly died at Queen’s Medical Centre on Wednesday, March 7.
Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are investigating the circumstances that surround the incident. ....

Amelia Wood, 11, was walking to catch a school bus in Manby, Lincolnshire, when the front wheel of the passing 4x4 broke off and hit her.
The former Cleethorpes schoolgirl was airlifted to Queen s Medical Centre in Nottingham, where she sadly died.
A two-day inquest into her tragic death in March 2018 heard that the vehicle, which was being driven by then 22-year-old Cameron Perkins, from Covenham St Bartholemew, was unroadworthy due to a catalogue of faults. ....
