In an online conference, MMDA General Manager Jose Arturo "Jojo" Garcia said he is planning to seek office as a representative of San Mateo, Rizal, and will file his certificate of candidacy on October 5. Truck ban resumes on Monday — MMDA  – The Manila Times


THE truck ban along major thoroughfares in the National Capital Region will be implemented anew on Monday, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) announced on Thursday.
MMDA General Manager Jose Arturo “Jojo” Garcia Jr. said large trucks have been banned from traversing along major highways from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., Monday to Saturday.
A 24/7 truck ban, however, will be enforced along EDSA, from Magallanes Interchange in Makati City to North Avenue in Quezon City.
Garcia said the move was due to the “clamor” of the Metro Manila Council to re-implement the ban in preparation for the holiday season. ....
