Road Commission to purchase more LED stop signs
The Daily Reporter
Recently installed LED stop signs at four Branch County intersections received enough praise for the added safety factor, the Branch County Road Commission authorized spending $14,000 to purchase five more.
The first one went up two weeks ago at Fremont and Copeland roads. Three more sets of two were installed at Union City Road and River Road, Block and Central roads, then at Central and Centennial roads.
All four locations are sites of major serious crashes. All are locations where cross-traffic on county primary roads do not stop. All are locations where there have been serious crashes from vehicles failing to stop.
