Defense Logistics Agency Director Navy Vice Adm. Michelle Skubic visited Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia, April 16 for the first time since she became director of the enterprise in July. She previously headed supplier operations for DLA Aviation from August 2008 to August 2011.
Local leaders briefed Skubic on the center’s mission as she toured facilities and recognized employees for their volunteerism and commitment to mission-essential work at a time when many DLA employees worked from home to help stop the spread of COVID-19.
DLA Aviation Commander Air Force Brig. Gen. David Sanford and others showed off the DLA Aviation Operations Center, which opened eight years after Skubic’s departure. The center serves as the activity’s headquarters building and provides workspace for more than 800 employees. ....
