GUWAHATI: Moderate rain lashed Guwahati on Thursday, resulting in heavy waterlogging on major roads and low-lying residential areas disrupting traffic for long hours.
According to the Regional Meteorological Centre here, the city received 4 mm of rainfall, which falls under light category, between 8.30am on Wednesday to 8am on Thursday. The city also witnessed accumulated 22.5 mm rainfall which falls under moderate category between 8.30 am and 5.30 pm on Thursday which led to extensive water-logging in parts of Guwahati.. Water hasn’t receded even after six hours which has become a regular feature following a downpour in the state capital.
