Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Genadi Arveladze and Deputy Minister of EU and Trade of the Czech Republic Martina Tauberova held an online meeting, Trend reports via Georgian media.
Arveladze thanked the representative of the Czech side for the assistance provided in the fight against coronavirus.
The officials noted that a delegation of representatives of Czech companies working in the healthcare sector would visit Georgia at the end of May this year.
The Czech Embassy in Georgia will organize the visit.
Meetings with representatives of local businesses will be held, during which they will discuss the prospects for investing in the health sector of Georgia and the creation of joint Georgian-Czech companies.

Georgia imported 383 tons of medicaments totaling $32.7 million from Turkey from January through September 2020, Trend reports referring to the National Statistics Office (Geostat).
On an annualized basis, Georgia decreased the medicament import from Turkey by 642 tons.
Turkey ranked first in Georgia s commodity circulation in the reporting period.
From January through September 2020, total imports from Turkey to Georgia amounted to $981.5 million. In turn, Georgia exported goods worth $142.8 million to Turkey.
The foreign trade turnover of Georgia with Turkey in the reporting period exceeded $1.1 billion, which is 13.8 percent of Georgia s total trade turnover. -

The Consumer Price Index, a measure that examines the weighted average of prices of a basket of consumer goods and services, such as transportation, food, and medical care, decreased by 1 percent in December 2020 compared to the previous month, Trend reports via the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat).
The annual inflation rate amounted to 2.4 percent, data from the National Statistics Office of Georgia said.
With regard to the annual core inflation (calculated by excluding the following groups of goods and services from the consumer basket: food and non-alcoholic beverages, energy, regulated tariffs, transport) prices increased by 5.3 percent, while the annual core inflation (without tobacco) amounted to 4.9 percent.
