The theme for today’s Mono Monday challenge is
“Wacky” and whilst you may not see anything particularly wacky in this shot, the setting up and the laughter and fun we had doing it was definitely wacky - see below.
I have, at last, made myself a pair of fingerless gloves, today’s subject, having made almost a hundred pairs for other people and they have gone all over the world to various Blip friends. I have also made lots of pairs for the Wiltshire Air Ambulance crews in their colours of yellow and green, so making a pair for me was well overdue. ....

100 ABSTRACTS - DAY 4
Since I decided to do the 100 abstracts challenge for the Mamie Martin Fund, established in 1993 by the family and friends of Mamie to advance the education of girls in secondary school in North Malawi, it s amazing how many abstracts I have seen around the house.
I took several shots this morning including some purple knitting, but somehow they just didn t fit the bill. I then had to look around for something else because by this time I was really keen to do another one of my abstracts.
In the hallway and just next to the stairs is quite a dark little corner but in there was this little paperweight, given to me by a friend many years ago, and which I don t actually use as a paperweight but just as a decorative ornament. ....

SNP MSP's book celebrating Scotland-England Border will raise cash for charities

Royalties from the book on the Scotland-England border will be divided equally between the Western Isles Cancer Care Initiative and the Mamie Martin Fund, which supports the Âeducation of girls in Malawi
A BOOK celebrating the Border between Scotland and England has been written by SNP MSP Alasdair Allan to raise money for charity.
Tweed Rins Tae The Ocean is also a response to former Tory MP Rory Stewart’s contention that the Border is not “natural”.
The book follows Allan’s 100-mile walk along the line from east to west and gently explores the history, literature and language of what he believes is the oldest national land border in the world. ....
