lori bordonaro is outside the 100th precinct where that officer was stationed in rockaway beach. reporter: a somber morning here where officer vincent harrison worked. the 25-year-old, as you said, hit and killed by a hit and run driver over the weekend. the rookie officer was headed shoub southbound on the new jersey turnpike at about 3:00 sunday morning. he changed lanes and collided with another car. police say he got out on the shoulder to exchange information with another driver. he was hit by an infiniti. police were able to track down the driver of the infiniti. he s now in custody. officer harrison s mom spoke to us by phone. she s still in shock. she said her son had only be on the force for a year and a half following in his brother s footsteps. last time i talked to my son was yesterday. now i have to deal with this. steam said they felt safe with harrison around. it s not clear where they found him or exactly what his name is, the driver. we expect to ge ....
