Buenos Aires, Feb 19 (Prensa Latina) The senators of the Argentine alliance Unión por la Patria condemned today the appointment of Nicolás Kasanzew as the head of the Malvinas Campaign Directorate of the Upper House of Congress.
“For us, Malvinas is and must always be an absolutely nonnegotiable and inalienable axis of Argentine foreign policy,” said Argentine ambassador in Switzerland Gustavo Martinez Pandiani, who is acting as the foreign minister of presidential candidate Sergio Massa if he were to win the coming elections next October/November.
A group of Argentine politicians, have been invited to a political symposium organized by the University of Cambridge in UK, to address among other issues governance, environment and the impact of new technologies.
High School students from Ushuaia, capital of the Argentine southernmost province of Tierra del Fuego were invited to participate in a competition, “Asking about Malvinas”. The competition to mark the fortieth anniversary of the Falklands/Malvinas war was sponsored by the city s program “Young Ushuaia”, and the provincial Youth Coordination office from the Culture and Education ministry.
Dr. Marcelo Kohen is an Argentine lawyer who for more than three decades has been living in Switzerland where he is a professor of International Law at the University Institute of International High Studies in Geneva, He is also currently secretary of the prestigious International Law Institute created in 1843.
