While every region is now in the middle of their roads to the playoffs, NONE will hold as much attention as when Buford, ranked No. 1 in Class 7A, travels to Hoschton to take on No. 2 Mill Creek in a battle for Region 8-7A supremacy.
Week 8 will be the lightest of the 2023 campaign, with just 16 games involving northeast Georgia-area teams. However, 14 of the 16 games are crucial region matchups.
Week 6 could be a pivotal week for several area teams already involved in region play. Meanwhile, three more regions 8-5A, 7-3A, and GAPPS 11-man all open their region schedules this week with some critical matchups.
