good morning and welcome to nbc 10 news today. i m vai sikahema. and i m tracy davidson. let s begin with meteorologist bill henley in the weather center. not much fog this morning. we re getting a break from it. the winds has picked up at the shore. seeing temperatures in the 60s. just a few clouds in the suburbs. this is kick of prussia. the skies are starting to brighten. we re about a half an hour away from sunrise. we will see sunshine. in fact, more sunshine in the suburbs and the lehigh valley than at the shore. delaware and south jersey, at least to start with. 66 degrees at 8:00. by 11:00, 73 degrees. we ll see a nice warmup in philadelphia too, but it s not going to be as hot as yesterday. 64 degrees at 7:00. we ll be close to 70 degrees at 10:00 this morning. as we break out of the clouds going into the afternoon, that s when the temperatures will really warm up. delaware, 81 degrees. 85 in the lehigh valley. inland areas of new jersey will be a little cooler

pick uphead on. an adult male was injured and most injuries deal with abdominal and pelvic injuries. they started to hear about the accident mid-day. i was focusing on them being okay. and i was trying to keep myself updated. reporter: and names of the victims have not been released. an adult male was also involved in this crash and his condition is unknown and the cause of the crash is under investigation. i m live in newcastle, chad pradelli, channel 6 action news. already thank you. pretty incredible video there. now another story. chester county authorities are trying to identify a woman found dead at the bottom of a pond. they made the gruesome discovery in east coventry county yesterday. her body was tied to a cinder block in an area popular with swimmers and fishers yesterday afternoon. she did not have any gunshot wounds or other signs of trauma but there was no water in her lungs which indicates she was not drown and was already dead when she was put in the
we are just very relieved that none of the injuries appear to be life-threatening, we know that two of the students were siblings and the family is at the hospital as is an assistant principal from william penn. reporter: the driver of the suv crossed the median and hit the pickup head-on. the cause is under investigation but the 16-year-old driver is charged failure to maintain his lane and driving without a license, insurance and registration. it appears the students were on their way to school. martin weeks was driving the pickup and was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. william penn students began hearing about the incident mid-day and were relieved there was no serious injuries. i was trying to keep myself updated. i was glad they are okay. we are not naming the 16-year-old driver charged in the crash because he is a juvenile. chad pradelli, channel 6 action news. thank you chad, philadelphia police need your help tracking down this
block of theodore street in southwest philadelphia at 1:00 p.m. live at police headquarters tonight is action news reporter christie ileto. christie, what do you know about reporter: well, right now detectives say there s no clear motive. all the more reason why many people who live on that block are struggling to make sense of why this man was attacked, not once but twice and left to die in his own home. and i heard boom. and that s it. reporter: at the time, james jackson jr. didn t know what he d just heard was his 77-year-old neighbor being beaten to death. it s clearly two acts of violence against him, one on friday night after he dropped his son off at the airport and again sunday morning. reporter: police say it was during that second attack that the suspect broke into the home through a back window. but it wasn t until a tuesday welfare check that the victim s son and police discovered him dead on the living room floor. obviously we re not sure what the
