A man taken to Passavant Area Hospital with gunshot wounds later died.Samantha McDaniel-Ogletree | Journal-Courier An autopsy performed Monday morning on a 26-year-old Chicago man confirmed he died from gunshot wounds suffered in a shooting early Sunday. Malcolm Fitts, formerly of Jacksonville, died at 6:52 a.m. Sunday at Passavant Area Hospital. Morgan County Coroner Marcy Patterson said an autopsy was completed Monday and, while final results will take several weeks, preliminary findings indicate gunshot wounds were the cause of death. No other information from the autopsy was being released Monday.
