A pro-democracy advocate, Dr. Malcolm Fabiyi, has advised Nigerians not to expect the country’s electoral body, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), to take nonpartisan actions because the people who run the commission have obvious partisan affiliations. The former University of Lagos Students’ Union leader made the remarks during an exclusive interview with Rudolf Okonkwo on 90MinutesAfrica on Sunday. Fabiyi argued that the major challenge in the last general election was how results could be reliably transmitted from the polling units.
