PETALING JAYA: The relaxation of the Malaysia My Second Home (MM2H) programme, with changes to the eligibility criteria and financial requirements aimed at attracting a large pool of foreigners, may be a much needed boost to the property sector.
THERE could be a silver lining where stakeholders of the Malaysia My Second Home (MM2H) Programme are concerned, with Putrajaya finally agreeing to review the programme’s eligibility criteria. The Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (Motac) last Wednesday assured that it, together with the Ministry of Home Affairs, will enable more flexibility in the application process for the programme in future.
Applications for the Premium Visa Programme are open. To be eligible for the 20-year approval, applicants must earn an offshore income of RM40,000 monthly, or RM480,000 annually.
