Faith leaders on Tuesday took the government to task for allegedly ambushing them on the rollout of the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) vaccine, accusing the Capital Hill of imposing ‘an already crafted script’ on them.

Prophetic Ministries Association of Malawi (PROMAM) general secretary Prophet Lex Kalolo, has dismissed assertions that there is a leadership crisis in the association, clarifying that  its president Prophet David Mbewe voluntarily resigned to take up a similar position at another faith institution.

At the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, ignited by the outbreak of the novel Coronaviirus, the national response to the HIV and AIDS epidemic in Malawi appeared to be on the edge due to uncertainties that followed the lockdown approach as practised by initial countries that faced the pandemic.
