The Oregon State Beavers signed their smallest class in program history during December’s early signing period, complementing the haul with a collection of coveted NCAA transfer portal prospects.
The end result? An end to Oregon State’s three-year drought without a top-500 high school prospects, securing Jefferson running back Damir Collins and California linebacker Easton Mascarenas, but not a lot of wiggle room remaining. ....

That’s changed, and Oregon suddenly finds itself as a contender for two of California’s top uncommitted prospects - San Diego’s Byron Cardwell (nation’s No. 8 running back) and Mater Dei High School product Raesjon Davis (nation’s No. 4 outside linebacker).
The Ducks are also considered the favorites for class of 2022 prospect Gracen Halton, the nation’s No. 11 defensive end, who is set to announce his commitment on January 27.
On the flip side, Oregon State finished with its smallest class in program history after the early signing period, but planned to hit the NCAA’s transfer portal. ....

The Oregon State Beavers always planned to add multiple commitments via the NCAA’s transfer portal this offseason, and secured their fourth pledge Thursday.
Utah State offensive lineman Heneli Bloomfield, who has three years to play three, announced his commitment to Oregon State over offers from Syracuse and Rutgers, as well as significant interest from California:
