China s Huawei donates food items to refugees in Zambia

LUSAKA, Dec. 28 (Xinhua) Chinese telecommunications company Huawei Technologies on Monday donated assorted food items to a refugee settlement in Lusaka, the Zambian capital.
The donation, made to the Makeni Refugee Transit Centre situated on the outskirts of the Zambian capital, is worth more than 10,000 U.S. dollars, including mealie-meal, sugar, rice, and cooking oil.
Hansen He, public relations director of Huawei Zambia, said the company is glad to partner with the Ministry of Home Affairs in making the donation.
He said Huawei believes people who have food become productive members of any country, adding the donation is meant to meet the needs of the refugees. ....
