While Groneberg’s love remains constant for the mall parking lot event that is more than six decades old and draws upwards of 60,000 hungry guests each July, this year Chinook Centre put on a decidedly different kind of pancake breakfast. Federal official Opposition Leader Erin O’Toole attended a pancake breakfast in northeast Calgary hosted by Makami College. He spent close to an hour flipping pancakes to applause, taking photos with supporters and handing out meals to the close to 100 people in attendance. He was scheduled to attend the Stampede grounds later Saturday. ....
